Commission Process

Turnaround Time:

Models typically take around 2-4 weeks to complete from the time your slot on the waitlist begins (not from the time of initial inquiry).

Reference Material:

You may provide any type of reference—this can include:

  • Full character sheets
  • Moodboards or aesthetics
  • Descriptive text
  • Example characters
  • Doodles or rough sketches
  • I'm happy to work with what you have, and will ask questions along the way to clarify anything that’s unclear.

    Design Support:

If your references are very vague, or if you're commissioning a model without an existing design, I offer a Sketch Mock-Up Design Service. This includes collaborative idea refinement and a rough visual draft. * A $60 design fee may be added if this service is needed.

This will be discussed and confirmed during the quote stage before work begins.

    Waitlist & Slot Notification

If you're on my waitlist, I’ll notify you as your turn approaches. While timelines may vary depending on project flow, I do my best to give advance notice so you're ready when your slot opens. Initial Payment & Sketch Phase

Once you're at the front of the waitlist:

  • A 50% upfront payment is required to begin.
  • Within 48 hours, I typically provide a sketch of your character.
  • If your references are vague or less detailed, I may provide a colored sketch to clarify visual direction.
  • After sketch approval:

  • I begin rendering the model parts — face, body, clothing, etc. This phase may take up to a week or more, depending on complexity.
  • I will provide WIP (Work in Progress) updates throughout this phase, allowing you to spot and request corrections on any missing or inaccurate details.
  • At the end of this stage, I’ll send a final flat image of the completed model art for your approval. Rigging Phase
  • After the model art is approved:

I begin rigging the model in Live2D.

Changes to the artwork after rigging has started will incur additional charges:

Minor edits (e.g., color shifts, small detail tweaks): $15+
  • Major edits (e.g., redrawing parts, separating merged layers): $30+
  • If I discover any necessary corrections due to rigging complexity (e.g., technical fixes), I will handle them free of charge.

You will receive WIP previews during this phase and are encouraged to provide feedback. This stage typically takes a few days to two weeks, depending on complexity.
